Honeyed Lemon
Friday, August 7, 2009 at 12:28AM This drink has a nice balance and depth with the Drambuie. There are a multitude of herbs used in the production so this is a natural parring.
1/2 lemon cut into 3-4 small pieces
1 tablespoon, (1/2 oz) honey, It is often far easier to 'eye' measurements of honey and avoid messy cleanup.
1 teaspoon thyme leaves
1 oz Drambuie
4 oz citron vodka
Angostura bitters
In a martini shaker muddle lemon pieces, honey and thyme. Pour in Drambuie, vodka and a dash of bitters, top with ice and shake vigorously. Strain and serve. You can serve this drink up or on the rocks, either is delightful, our mood is often the deciding factor.
