Our 4th annual tribute meal to the infamous Tejano singer Selena. We are huge fans and love to celebrate the life of this vivacious Mexican American artist via the culinary arts!

Our feast to celebrate this holiday of giving thanks and stuffing our faces! We had a Mexican Inspired Thanksgiving Supper. It was mind blowing delicious and fun! Thanks for all that came out despite the 20 degree weather happening here in Chicago! We wish you all a Feliz Dia de Turkey!

holy smokes! this was one meal that was for the records! the meal, the guests, the altar, the ofrendas, everything was out of this world! cannot wait for next years celebration of the day of the dead!

We were thrilled to be included in Chef Maneet Chauhan's "Flavors of my World" book tour. We joined culinary forces and created a three course meal with cocktail and wine pairings to highlight some amazing dishes from her delicious cookbook. It was an intimate meal with a singer/songwriter performance to top off the evening. It was magical! guests got to purchase her cookbook and have it autographed and snap some photos with Chef Maneet, who is also a judge on the Food Network show "Chopped". We were thrilled to be part of her book tour and cannot wait to see what she does next! A huge thank you to the team of Chef Maneet Chauhan and to the Yo Soy team as well for creating such a great experience!

the best cinco de mayo celebration supper in Chicago! we combined artistic forces with the chicago urban art society (CUAS) to host one of the most exciting meals of all time!we created a 4 course meal in celebration of puebla, mexico’s victory over the french on may. 5th,1862! we highlighted a mexican menu with french influences that played off of these two powerful countries and their staple dishes! The Mexican Dance Ensemble performed for the group which made the night even slightly more magical!

Chicago is finally thawing out little by little. Spring is here, and we welcome her with open arms (and a jacket)! We are happy to see the sun shining on our pale chicago skin and all of the people out and about in their best spring colored clothes! Tis the season to start defrosting, socializing and taking advantage of what this wonderful city has to offer! We thought we could further lure you out of hibernation with the temptation of an extraordinary meal that is themed after this wonderous time of the year. The menu was be a play off of the springtime in chicago, so look out for dishes like a cool, yet spicy soup, or a chile that you bite into that is sweet! It will mess with your mind, much like an april fool would.

in celebration of dia de la virgen guadalupe in the the mexican catholic world, we made a supper in the honor fo the virgin mary! we have faith, but believe it should be more about the fun and loving parts, not the guilt-ridden- hide-yourself-away parts! so we dedicated each course, as well as the welcome cocktail "sangria maria" to our beloved virgin mary! it was a dinner for the saints, and one to not have missed! check out the pics!

an amazing evening of great friends secretly planning a supper of their beloved best friend, and yo soy regular, jorge!

yo soy had the unique pleasure of preparing passed appetizers for the international beethoven festival at chicago urban art society! we also had our usual monthly supper in that same week to celebrate the mexican independence day as well as the chinese full moon festival! check out the pics!

summertime in the city! both menus were similar, however, the 24th dinner was inside, and the 31st we took outdoors! both dinners were beautiful, and we had one guest that got to enjoy both! we love getting loved twice in one month! it show's we still got it!
