A bit about Yo Soy Underground supper :
We host unique dining experiences at museums, art galleries, cafés, private homes, and other non-traditional settings with the goal of redefining the way we dine and connect with food. Yo Soy's "Mexican Inspired" menu is theme-based and carefully assembled drawing from our travels, holidays, and other unique ideas not normally explored by restaurants.
The term "Underground Supper" refers to the fact that the culinary experiences created by Yo Soy are constantly on the move, and have a high elusive factor. The "Pop-Up Suppers" are more defined by the meal being held at numerous locations around the city of Chicago. Yo Soy "Pop Up's" are in traditional, or non-traditional restaurant locations and create experiences that are sometimes "one-time" only events or an ongoing once a month visiting chef experience. The setting of the meals consists of communal tables of food lovers, artists, adventurous diners, etc,. Diners are notified via social media or word of mouth about the supper, and are typically given disclosure of the location eight hours before the event is to take place. Seats to the events are available only through our website and limited in availability.
Yo Soy Underground Supper is a labor of love that has allowed foodies, friends and strangers to gather over the past five years, allowing us the opportunity to experiment with different recipes and menu items that we hope to one day showcase in our very own restaurant. We cannot wait to meet and feed you!

Yo Soy "LUCKY AÑO" supper! 01.18.14

Feliz Año Nuevo! 2014 is here! adios 2013, it was real, it was great, but 2014 is going to be REALLY great! We here at Yo Soy Underground Supper want to make sure of that. We are creating a 5 course Mexican meal with all foods that are to bring the best of luck in the new year. Yep, that's right, there will be some black eyed peas (not the band, thankfully) and some delicious coined shaped foods to symbolize wealth, as well as some loooonnnnnnggg noodles that signify longevity in the Asian culture. We will be pulling "lucky" foods from many backgrounds and adding our Mexican twist to them, we figure the more "lucky charms" we have in our belly, the better chances we have at the best of luck, fortune and health in 2014! Seats are limited, so grab yours ASAP because once we sell out of these seats, all the luck in the world cannot get you into this shindig!

It was so great to meet and feed some new peeps! Yo Soy loves the heck outta some dosers! Also, a huge thank you to our loyal Yo Soy fans that came out to get a fix of some Yo Soy deliciousness on such a chilly day. And lastly (but not least-ly ?) Thank you Dose market for having us, it was a delightful Sunday afternoon spent with some great local merchants! While still on the subject of "Holidose", if you are still shopping around for that perfect gift to give the person in your life that loves food and craves uniqueness, we have gift certificates to a Yo Soy Underground Supper still up for sale.
