A bit about Yo Soy Underground supper :
We host unique dining experiences at museums, art galleries, cafés, private homes, and other non-traditional settings with the goal of redefining the way we dine and connect with food. Yo Soy's "Mexican Inspired" menu is theme-based and carefully assembled drawing from our travels, holidays, and other unique ideas not normally explored by restaurants.
The term "Underground Supper" refers to the fact that the culinary experiences created by Yo Soy are constantly on the move, and have a high elusive factor. The "Pop-Up Suppers" are more defined by the meal being held at numerous locations around the city of Chicago. Yo Soy "Pop Up's" are in traditional, or non-traditional restaurant locations and create experiences that are sometimes "one-time" only events or an ongoing once a month visiting chef experience. The setting of the meals consists of communal tables of food lovers, artists, adventurous diners, etc,. Diners are notified via social media or word of mouth about the supper, and are typically given disclosure of the location eight hours before the event is to take place. Seats to the events are available only through our website and limited in availability.
Yo Soy Underground Supper is a labor of love that has allowed foodies, friends and strangers to gather over the past five years, allowing us the opportunity to experiment with different recipes and menu items that we hope to one day showcase in our very own restaurant. We cannot wait to meet and feed you!

"FULL OF APRIL" + CINCO DE MAYO SUPPERS
Monday, April 22, 2013 at 1:27PM last night's meal was in two words "freakin' great"! the atmosphere, the people, the food , the plating, everything was spot on and just how we envisioned it! we had some new faces, and some yo soy regulars in, which is the mix up we love! the musical guest was sami grisafe, who blew everyone's mind with her talented voice and her performance! we enjoyed last night immensely and did not want the night to end, but, now we are on to the next supper we have on the horizon. being that "inspired mexican" is our thang, we have to celebrate cinco de mayo in the most respectful way. we have teamed up with the Chicago Urban Art Society to host a 4 course meal with drink pairings and a performance by the Mexican Dance Ensemble. It is going to be a dinner to remember, for sure! the space they have is great, and it lends itself to hosting a truly artistic meal centered around the celebration that is cinco de mayo!

Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 1:48AM Chicago is finally thawing out little by little. Spring is here, and we welcome her with open arms (and a jacket)! We are happy to see the sun shining on our pale chicago skin and all of the people out and about in their best spring colored clothes! Tis the season to start defrosting, socializing and taking advantage of what this wonderful city has to offer! We thought we could further lure you out of hibernation with the temptation of an extraordinary meal that is themed after this wonderous time of the year. The menu will be a play off of the springtime in chicago, so look out for dishes like a cool, yet spicy soup, or a chile that you bite into that is sweet! It will mess with your mind, much like an april fool would.

last night's meal was extraordinary! we had an amazing five course fun filled night (as well as great company)! it was a celebration that would definitely make selena and fans of her's proud! quickly recovering from last nights rejoicing, we are now in the planning stages of our next supper. the date we have set for our april meal is sunday 04.21.13. please stay tuned for more upcoming information and seat availability!
