A bit about Yo Soy Underground supper :
We host unique dining experiences at museums, art galleries, cafés, private homes, and other non-traditional settings with the goal of redefining the way we dine and connect with food. Yo Soy's "Mexican Inspired" menu is theme-based and carefully assembled drawing from our travels, holidays, and other unique ideas not normally explored by restaurants.
The term "Underground Supper" refers to the fact that the culinary experiences created by Yo Soy are constantly on the move, and have a high elusive factor. The "Pop-Up Suppers" are more defined by the meal being held at numerous locations around the city of Chicago. Yo Soy "Pop Up's" are in traditional, or non-traditional restaurant locations and create experiences that are sometimes "one-time" only events or an ongoing once a month visiting chef experience. The setting of the meals consists of communal tables of food lovers, artists, adventurous diners, etc,. Diners are notified via social media or word of mouth about the supper, and are typically given disclosure of the location eight hours before the event is to take place. Seats to the events are available only through our website and limited in availability.
Yo Soy Underground Supper is a labor of love that has allowed foodies, friends and strangers to gather over the past five years, allowing us the opportunity to experiment with different recipes and menu items that we hope to one day showcase in our very own restaurant. We cannot wait to meet and feed you!

new year, new beginnings! let the good times drag on!
Monday, January 16, 2012 at 7:43PM we have been busy, busy bees since the new year has begun! there have been many celebrations, travels and inspirational distractions around us that we have been unable to nail down a solid date for this months supper open to the public! we had a secret, private mini yo soy for our favorite fitness couple / great neighbors paul and wes last night. it was a great celebration, and we tried some old and new favorites with them and sang the night away with yo soy's gorgeous staple performer stephen leonard. we know, it's not fair for our other yo's (yo soy followers) to be left out in the cold waiting for their next fix of a fantastic meal, so wait no longer! we have set the date for 02/19/12! yep, that's right sunday, february 19th is the magical date!
we have come up with the great theme of the celebration of the chinese new year! this year is the year of the dragon! we, for lack of space, cannot have a dragon at our dinner. bummer, i know. however, we could have a house full of drag's! and that is exactly what we are going to do as part of the dinner! we are going to request that in tribute to the dragon's year, we ask our diners to don their best drag! if there is a lack of ideas on your side, don't fret, we will have a little something for you to borrow. so, get ready for one exciting chinese new year celebration! it's drag-on! grab your seats now, because february is just around the corner!

we had the pleasure of joining some long time pals on their podcast recently! it was a fantastic opportunity to dish about yo soy and some of the "behind the scenes" drama that takes place, as well as catch up on some current events! you have to check out fausto and marc's constant award winning podcast FEAST OF FUN! thanks guys, we had a blast! listen here! we hope to see them at our supper table once again! hopefully in january we can get them in here to dine and dish!
